Get ready for an active holiday with entertainment for the entire family. East Jutland is a good combination of nature, culture and fun activities, which guarantees you a fun holiday. The nature has a little bit of everything, luxuriant landscape, green forests and a beautiful coast. A nice place to enjoy the nature is from Himmelbjerget (The sky mountain), where you have a great view over East Jutland.
East Jutland also offers a lot of culture and history. In Jelling you get to see the famous Jellinge Stones, which dates all the way back to year 935, and displays the first written stories about Denmark. The Jellinge Stones is furthermore part of UNESCO’s world heritage list. Another historic place is The Old City (Den Gamle By) in Århus, where you are taken back in time, to see how life used to be in the area. You can also enjoy a cultural day and visit the modern museum ARoS. Århus is in general a mecca filled with fun experiences. Besides good shopping and nice restaurant, worth mentioning is SegWorld, Racehall and Tivoli Friheden, which are all good examples of family entertainment.
Most kids (and grownups) love animals and here you also find a lot of options in East Jutland. Givskud Zoo and Ree Park are both large Zoos, while Kattegatcentret and Aqua Aquarium and Animal Park (Aqua Akvarium og Dyrepark) are good examples of beautiful aquariums. Randers Rainforest (Randers Regnskov) is also entertaining if you want to see the animals who life in the rainforest. Furthermore, a good holiday is not complete without a trip to an amusement park, right? In North-east Jutland it is Djurs Sommerland you should visit, while it in South-east Jutland it is the famous LEGOLAND, which welcomes you.
