    The Limfjord country!
The Limfjord has a rich fishing culture, which dates back hundreds of years and you can clearly sense that in many places along the coast. The different regional museums also give a good impression of the area.

    Activities:
The Limfjord area offers a lot of outdoor activities, and the fjord is ideal for bathing, sailing, surfing and fishing. For the brave ones, you find areas where you can paraglide, but also diving, windsurfing and water-ski is some of the sports, which can get the adrenalin pumping.  The changing landscape offers some lovely nature experiences along the many good walking and biking trails in the area. The anglers also have good conditions here, both from bridge, beach, dinghy and fishing boats as in the areas streams, lakes and fishing parks.

    Cities:
The many harbour cities along the Limfjord offers everything from attractions and activities to special stores, gastronomy and nightlife. In Amtoft you find a small former fishermen village, which is now a harbour for yachts and fishing boats.

    Excursions:
Fårup Sommerland & Aquapark is an exciting amusement park for the entire family. In Aalborg Zoo you get to experience 800 animals from the entire world and also in Aalborg you find Leo’s indoor playing area (Leos Legeland). In Thisted you find Bowl’n’fun, where there is a playground and of course also a bowling alley. Plenty of flowers and water activities can be enjoyed at Jesperhus Blomsterpark at the island Mors.

Hanstholm offers a museum with exhibitions from World War II. At Stenaldercentret in Ertebølle you get to experience findings from the Stone Age, for example findings from an old kitchen midden and a reconstructed living area. At the island Fur the landscape is shaped from flat fields, lakes, hills, steep coasts and forests. If you like bird watching you should definitely visit the largest bird sanctuary in northern Europe, Vejlerne. Only a few kilometres from the Limfjord you also find the first and biggest national park in Denmark called National Park Thy. The national park reaches from Agger in the south to Hanstholm in the north. Here you find guided tours and on their webpage you can get good suggestions for tours in the park.
