For the nature lovers South Jutland has a lot to offer. To the east you get to enjoy lovely walks in green forests or bike along the fields and fjords all the way out to Little Belt, while it to the west is the Wadden Sea that characterises the nature with the flat marshland and characteristic tide. The Wadden Sea is also home for cute seals and thousands of breading birds. At spring and fall you can experience the famous phenomenon Black Sun, where millions of starlings cover the sky. You can also extent your knowledge about the nature and animal life in the area with a visit to the Wadden Sea Centre (Vadehavscentret). The Wadden Sea Centre also offers interesting trips in the area, allowing you to see everything with your own eyes.

If you prefer relaxing on the beach instead, fear not. South Jutland has plenty of lovely beaches, especially in the area near Little Belt and around Als, you find good swimming areas. Rømø also tempts you with some of the finest sand beaches in Denmark. And when you are done lying on the beach and the kids start screaming for entertainment, then why not jump in the car and drive to the nearest attraction. What about going to the always-entertaining LEGOLAND, or a day in the name of science in the amusement park Universe.

Most kids love a day in the company of sweet animals, so why not go to the zoo? Glad Zoo is a small charming zoo, which also acts as a research and communication centre so that you can be sure to obtain a lot of new knowledge. Longer north you find Givskud Zoo, where you get to go on safari and get close to the animals. South Jutland is also filled with history and culture, which you for example can experience by visiting Dybbøl Mill or the castle Koldinghus. South Jutland is both for nature lovers, families with kids and history lovers, so hurry up and find your holiday home and book your next vacation.
